Albert Farrell Jr.

Albert Farrell, Jr., was born in Nashville, Tennessee on May 14, 1950 to Geraldine Kimble Farrell and Albert Farrell, Sr.

Albert departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Trevecca Health Care Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Albert attended the Metro Nashville Public Schools and graduated from Pearl Senior High School in 1968. He joined the U.S. Army in 1972 where he received as honorable discharge as a Medic.

Albert resided for many years in Dallas, Texas, where he was baptized in the Baptist Church and was employed by Quaker Oats Company. Upon returning to Nashville he was employed by Horizon Distributions until he became disabled.

Albert leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Geraldine (Oscar) Terry; daughter, LaVette Merrimon-Mixon; sisters, Barbara Farrell Jobe and Gloria (Keith) Talley; brothers, Robert Farrell, Peter (Celestine) Terry and Oscar Terry, Jr; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; aunts, Doris Bratten, Julia Hemphill and Mary Groves; uncles, Lishie Kimble and Chester Kimble; devoted cousin, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Giddens; and a host of other relatives and friends.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Public viewing, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 1-6pm at Highland Hills Funeral Home, 2422 Brick Church Pike. Visitation Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 11am-12:00 noon with funeral to follow at Highland Hills Funeral Home. Interment in Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery, Pegram, TN.
