Preceded in death by mother, Lena Phillips; grandmother, Maude Hill.
Survived by daughter, Schonita Gordon; brothers, Rev. Edward (Katie) Hill and Clark Smith; sister-in-law, Pearline Phillips; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; friend, Betty Sawyers.
George served in the Air Force for four years and was employed by the Federal Government GSA services until he retired.
Visitation Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 5-7pm at Highland Hills Chapel, 2422 Brick Church Pike.
Graveside service Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 1PM in the Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery, Pegram, TN., with Rev. James C. Turner II, officiating.
