Reflections of Life

On September 23, 1933 the last baby girl was born the seventh child and pride and joy of her parents, Robert and Betty Bailey.

Helen was a shero, her talents and skills were something to marvel. She had a way of making everyone feel special, uplifted and loved like no other. It was not a talent missing she was a great beautician, a seamstress, a artist, loved fashion, dancing and her cooking will be greatly missed. Her famous dressing, banana pudding, sweet potatoes pies, potato salad all made from scratch.

Helen was a master of multi-tasking, she shared herself with everyone she meet.

She worked as a caregiver for over forty years, no other job would have pleased her, she lived to take care of others. Outside of work and family she absolutely loved to travel from state to state and abroad. Helen loved the Lord with every ounces of her being.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Roberts and Betty Bailey; sisters, Ann Ferguson and Kathleen (Kat) Gilliam; brothers, Ernest, Carter and Cordell Bailey.

She leaves to cherish her memories her 5 children, son, William (Winky) Bailey; daughters, Beverly Bailey Batey, Meriel (Lynn) Bailey, Kimberly Bailey and Starr (Milton) Moore; brother, Robert (R. B.) Bailey; grandsons, William Guinn (Little William), Robert (Bobby) Bailey, Jeffery Bailey, Devin Moore, Trae Batey and Jabriel Moore; granddaughters, Ebony Bailey, Brittany Bailey and April Bailey; several great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends; a special person in her heart, cousin, Betty Jean; and Shirley Anderson, Bishop John W. Batts, Jr., and Sister Shelia Batts; and the Stokers Lane Church of God.
