Joe Edward Jackson Sr.

Joe Edward Jackson Sr., age 69 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. He was born to Joseph and Mattie Lee Jackson on September 24, 1948.
Joe attended Davison County Public Schools. He was a master concrete mason for over 50 years and a dedicated union member. Joe took great pride in his work and his expertise was constantly demanded by the community.
Joe, known as "Bo Peep and Bubba" to his family, loved to make everyone laugh. To his friends, he was generous beyond a fault, always giving and sharing.
Joe married Theresa Faye. They were married for 24 years.
He joined St. Matthews Baptist Church when he was young and later rededicated his life to the Lord under the leadership of Pastor Irvin Jackson at Central Zion Church.
Joe was preceded in death by father Joseph Jackson. He is survived by his loving devoted wife Theresa Faye; son Joe Edward Jackson Jr., (Kara) of
Nashville, TN; step- daughter Yachecia Holston of Detroit, Ml; mother Mattie Lee Jackson of Nashville, TN; grandchildren Joseph Jackson, Treasure and Zachary Holston; sisters Barbara Jackson Bailey (Mark) of Raleigh, NC and Shelly Jackson
Nashville TN; brother Irvin Jackson (Betty) of Nashville TN; and loving nieces and nephews. He leaves behind caring aunts Augusta Mitchell of Nashville, TN and Murvia Garrett of Chicago, IL. He will also be missed by a loyal cousin, Ida Gray Pillow, and a devoted friends Henry Hamer and Darnell Davis of Nashville,TN and, a host of other relatives and friends.
