Marcus Ervin Edmondson

November 21, 1961 — September 6, 2017

Marcus Ervin Edmondson departed this life on September 6, 2017. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee to Willie Lee Edmondson (deceased) and Bernice (Bingham) Weakley. Marcus was preceded in death by his son, Marcus Ervin Edmondson, Jr. and father, Willie Lee Edmondson.
He grew up in Nashville, TN and received his education in the Metro Nashville Public School System.

Under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, Marcus took the most important step of his life and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on December 2, 1990. He united with First Baptist Church, South Inglewood under the pastorate of Reverend Thomas E. Sweeney, Sr.

Marcus worked for several years at Metro Water Department. He was very personable, full of joy, always smiling and never met a stranger. He was kind hearted and always thought of others. He deeply loved his family and his contagious laugh will continue to enrich our lives.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a doting and devoted mother, Bernice Weakley; affectionate sisters, Sarita Morris, Joyce (Michael) Smith, Laritha Fentress; loving brothers, Leandrews Edmondson and Donnie Edmondson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; a devoted cousin, Delmas (Bull) Jordan; special friends, William (Fatty) Marsh and Dallas Hall. His memory will always be in our hearts.
