Phillip George Gordon

July 27, 1954 — October 19, 2017

Mr. Phillip George Gordon was born on July 27, 1954 to Mr. James S. Gordon, Sr., and Mrs. Mary E. Shaw Gordon. He departed this life peacefully on October 19, 2017 at Alive Hospice.

Phillip attended Hillsboro High School in Nashville, TN and later attended Tennessee State University.

Phillip accepted Christ at an early age, he became a member of Bass Street Baptist, and later in life he became a member of Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church.

He was employed by Nashville Sash & Door, Metro Ready Mix, and HCA as an security guard for a number of years.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Gordon; brothers, Dennis Gordon and Adonis Gordon.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted daughters, Danielle Gordon, Shauntel (Anthony) Ussery, Kimberly Hayes and Terra Fleming; grandchildren, Deoneta Hil, Kendall & Keirra Fleming, Darieona & Derrick Gordon, Jace & Javin Laster, Keion Todd, Christopher Mason, Jr., Aiden “Buddy” Ussery, Dae Jonna Poole and Patience Young; devoted companion, Natalie Todd; ex-wife, Janice Gordon; sisters, Maggie Sue Pigg of Centerville, TN., Elizabeth Ann Williams (Thomas) and Donna Faye Brown (Larry); brothers, James S. Gordon, Jr; aunt, Margaret Derrick of Las Vegas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
