Ruth Mae Powell

January 17, 1946 — June 23, 2015

A special life came to an end Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Alive Hospice, Skyline Madison Campus, in Madison, Tennessee. When God sent his Angel to bring Ruth to her Heavenly Home.
Ruthie Mae Newborn-Powell was born January 17th 1946 in Witherspoon, Arkansas to the parents of the late Lester Newborn and Annie Maude Newborn. She received her education at Peak High School in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
Ruth accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age she was a member of Witherspoon Church of God In Christ where she served faithfully. Ruth enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a devoted wife, mother and she loved her grandchildren and her great grand boys.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wilkie Danielle Newborn; four sisters, Leslie, Angel, Terrie and Virginia; two brothers, Elmer, and Lester “Jr” Newborn; one niece, Sheila Alston; one nephew, Kenny R Newborn, Jr.
Her warm and precious memories will forever live in the hearts of her loving and devoted husband, Leonard Powell; one daughter, Monike Newborn; two granddaughters, Joy Krystal, and Jade Danielle; one grandson, Joshua Hunter Newborn; two great grand boys, Dallas, and Ahmad; one very special friend/daughter, Nicole Jordan; three sisters, Mildred Erby (David) of Hot Spring Village, Arkansas, Ann Green (Ricordo) of Waterford, Michigan and Ginger Newborn Lewis (Mel) of DeSoto, TX; two brothers, Charles Newborn (Debra) of Birmingham, Alabama, and Kenny R. Newborn (Lee Ester) of Augusta, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be help Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Highland Hills Funeral Home, 2422 Brick Church Pike with Pastor John Rollins, Officianting.
