Annie Jane Bostic Fishback

June 20, 1945 — November 3, 2018

Annie Jane Bostic Fishback was born June 20, 1945 in Arrington, Williamson County, Tennessee to the late Edward Bostic and Tommie Mae Wright. Jane received her education in the Williamson County schools and later moved to Nashville where she attended Davidson County Public schools.

Jane met Joe Harold Fishback at the age of 15. They had two children, Vernon and Valerie. Joe was the love of her life until his death in 2005. In 2007 Jane met Sherman Summers which gave her a second chance at love. Sherman supported her through her sickness until her death.

Jane worked for John Hooker, Sr., in the 1970’s. John Jay Hooker ran for governor of Tennessee in 1970. He was also a prominent attorney. Jane also did domestic work for several years until her illness. One of her most memorable families was the Sanders. She helped raise their four sons, Chenault, Andrew, Sterling and David. The latter three were triples.

Jane had a love for animals that was underscriable. She has had several dogs, cats, a rabbit and wessel. Among some of her favorites animals were Somewhere, CoCo, Chrissy, and Jasmine (dogs); Smokie and Cookie (cata).

Jane loved to work in her yard gardening during her spare time. She also loved to go fishing. And she loved to talk. Jane was a giving person. She will truly be missed.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Fishback; her parents, Edward Bostic and Tommie Mae Wright; son, Vernon Bostic; grandson, Vernon Cooper; brother, Frank Lee and Billy Shaw.

Jane leaves to cherish her memory, her very devoted daughter, Valerie Bostic; devoted brother, John W. Bostic; granddaughters, Denise (Chris) Blacksmith and Danielle Scales; great granddaughters, Fradasia Green, CharNeisha and Cierra Porter, Keviona Hobbs and Versonshay Cooper; great grandsons, DeMonta Scales and Vernon Cooper, Jr; devoted companion, Sherman Sumers; sisters, Virginia (Bobby) Lee, Faye and Gail Shaw and Addie Hardy; brothers, Charles Lee, and Edward (JoAnn) Bostic; devoted friend and boss, Dancy (John) Sanders; play daughter, Katreda (Thomas) Norman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends.

“No more pain, no more suffering! Tell Dad, Vernon, and Vernon, Jr I said I love them”
