Annie Ruth Ivy Beatrice Jones, the daughter of Edward and Queenola Hill was born in Memphis, TN on October 15, 1934. She departed this life on January 11, 2021.
She attended public schools in Mississippi. She had a strong belief in God and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She matriculated to Nashville, TN from Memphis in 1970 where she lived for several years and worked at Holiday Inn Vanderbilt until her retirement. Desiring to be close to her siblings, she returned to Memphis, TN in 1986 where she remained until her death.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Sammie Lee Green, three granddaughters Sametrius Green, Latrice Moore and LaKenya Craigen.
She is survived by a loving husband, Nathaniel Jones; four loving and devoted children, Maggie O Lawrence (Edwin) of Nashville, TN, Joe N Jones of Hernando, MS, Charles E. Miller of Hernando, MS and James N. Jones of Hernando, MS; sisters, Inez Hill, Maggie Mae, Erma Lee, Betty Mae, Betsy Mae and Gloria Jean McCoy; ten grandchildren, LaDonist L. Miller, Ayana C. Whitfield, Arib S. Whitfield, Edwin M. Lawrence, Jason L. Lawrence, Shenika N. Lawrence, Shenail Miller, Claudia Miller, Josetta Jones, and Coretta Jones; twenty-one great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews cousins, family and friends.
