Carl Phillip Johnson

Carl Phillip Johnson was born on June 7th, 1958 in Nashville, TN to the late Clifton Paul "CP" Johnson and Tennessee Wiley Johnson.
Carl attended Davidson County Public Schools in Nashville, TN. He accepted Christ at an early age at Vine Glen Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. William T. Brooks.
Carl was united into holy matrimony to Lois Sawyers Johnson August 21, 1996. He was preceded in death by stepson Verble "Bubba" Jones and stepdaughter Tonya Jones.
Carl was a talented artist, and loved spending time with family and friends, especially his great niece Antonique Gill whom he affectionately called "Wiley". He was known by family and friends as a "cut up" and those that knew him loved him.
Carl departed this life August 20, 2014 @ 1:23 a.m. He leaves to celebrate his life, a loving wife, Lois Johnson; his devoted mother, Tennessee Johnson; (2) brothers, Horace (Vivian) Adams, and Gregory Johnson; (2) devoted sisters, Eloise McCormick, and Tracy Farmer; niece - Latasha Johnson; nephews, Carlos Adams, Tevan Ferguson, Gregory Johnson Jr.; great-niece, Antonique Gill; great-nephew, Emerson Woods; (6) aunts, Beatrice Hood, Eula B. Jefferson, Ruth Wiley, Claudia Scales, Nettie Wiggins, Elizabeth Johnson; (2) uncles, Hills (Emma) Wiley, and Joe (Shirley) Johnson; A devoted friends. Lil Ricky, Jeffery Starnes and a host of relatives and friends.
