David Buchanan

David Buchanan was born October 01, 1967 to James Buchanan Sr and the late Priscilla K. Buchanan. The sunset on our beloved on June 02,2021.


David found Christ at a young age. He attended Metro Nashville Davidson County Schools.


David started his career at the age of 16 at Krystal where he met his first love Jeanette Buchanan. The two would later marry with two sons. He later further his career at FORMOSA Produce where he later retired due to an on the job injury.


David married his first love Jeanette Buchanan February 14,1998. To this union they had two sons Lamont and David, a God Son Marvin, and 7 grandchildren that he cherished. Later in life they separated, but were lifelong friends until his passing.


David had a love of music from birth. Throughout his life he would produce, write, and record a catalog of music from different genres. His best known work today was from the rap genre. David would perform his rap music locally under the stage name “King D”. Most of his work can be found through social media and youtube at Caine The King Media. David “King D” Buchanan would create a body of work that would make his life immortal.

Left to cherish David’s memory Wife, Jeanette Buchanan; Sons, Lamont (Yawana)Winston and David (Lanita) Winston; Grandchildren, Julicia; Tierra, Jaylen, A’Kira, Daveon, Kaden and Jordan; Father, James Buchanan Sr; Brothers, James(Sonny)Buchanan Jr, Terrance Buchanan and Richard(Camilla)Buchanan; Sisters, Ida Joyner and Karon Brown; Devoted Friends, Marcus “Swift” Martin, Darwin Jackson and Charles Rucker; and a host of other relatives and friends to cherish his memories and continue his legacy.
