Minister Earl Phillips Iii

Minister Earl Phillips, III,
was born to Earl Phillips, Jr. and the late Evangelist Wondone Y. Phillips, on October 25, 1977, in Nashville, TN.


Earl attended Metropolitan Nashville
Public Schools and was well known for his humorous personality and for "burning on" his classmates and friends. Earl graduated from Hunter's Lane High School, attended barber college, and later began his career as a cook and chef in many hotels, restaurants,
and other fine dining establishments throughout Tennessee.


Earl had a calling on his life
to preach the Gospel at a very early age. This was foreseen by his maternal grandmother and by many others as well. Having been raised in the church by his mother and father, Earl kept a very close relationship with God. He would never hesitate to minister
the Word to anyone who would listen, because he knew that he was "CHOSEN" by God to deliver it. Frequently posting messages and videos online, he would inspire others with Bible scriptures and gladly testify about the grace, mercy, and favor that God had
shown him throughout his life.


Earl had such a great love for
the Word of God, that after coming into fellowship with Voice of Truth Ministries in 2012, both he and his mother sought to expand their biblical knowledge and later attended the Voice of Truth Bible Institute. In 2016, they earned an Associate of Theology
in Biblical Subjects diploma, and within that same year, Earl would go on to receive his minister's license from Dr. Ray A. Mason, as well. In June of 2018, Earl and his mother continued their biblical education and both graduated and received a Bachelors
of Theology in Biblical Studies.


In his spare time, Earl enjoyed
spending time with his four children, traveling with his best friend, and walking around his neighborhood. He could frequently be seen at anybody's cookout, hanging around the barbershop, or at his favorite place to eat, which was Prince's Hot Chicken Shack.
Earl was affectionately known by his family as "Junebug", and he had his two sisters wrapped tightly around his finger. He was the baby of the family, and the only boy, so whenever he'd ask his mother for a favor, he would always say please, and then remind
her that he was her "only begotten son". Earl was a dedicated and faithful servant, who never met a stranger, and he touched the lives and souls of so many. He will be truly missed and fondly remembered for his unapologetic praise and worship of the Lord.


On June 3, 2022, Minister Earl
Phillips, III, transitioned from this earthly life to a place of eternal rest. Left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy, are his four amazing children: Earl Phillips, IV, Breona Phillips, Elijah Phillips, and Anijah Phillips; father: Earl (Andrea)
Phillips, Jr.; loving and devoted sisters: Lawanna (Kenneth) Patterson and Rontae Dowdy-Phillips; brother: Sadakiel Guinn; nephew: Cornelius Phillips; nieces: Phillana Majors and LaMia Patterson; aunts: Edna Clopton, Sandra Womack of Maryland, Sandone ("Sandra")
Dowdy Boyd, Pastor Judy (Pastor Marvin) Quarles, and Vanessa McPhee; uncle: David (Ruth) Dowdy, Jr.; great-nephew: Royce Brown; devoted cousins: Ronnie ("Pokey") Chambers, II, and Jeremy Phillips; best friend: Joey Taylor; family friend: Alfreda Morris; his
Voice of Truth Ministries brothers and sisters in Christ; and a host of cousins, relatives, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances.




Awaiting Earl in our Father's house, is his dearly departed mother, Evangelist Wondone Y. Phillips, who passed
away on July 1, 2021. Rumor has it, that when he knocked on the doors of heaven, she asked, "Who is it?", and he said, "It's ME, Junebug. YOUR ONLY BEGOTTEN SON." LOL!!!
