Elizabeth Oneal Anderson

June 26, 1948 — May 9, 2021

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” - Psalm
116:15

Elizabeth Oneal Williams Anderson stepped into time as the daughter of Otis and Ruth Waters Williams on June 26th, 1948 in Nolensville, Tennessee. She would trade this time for eternity on May 9th, 2021. Along with her parents she is proceeded in death by her son James Wilson Anderson, Jr., grandson: Quinshawn Oneal Anderson, brothers Leslie “Skeet” Williams and Edwin Williams.

Elizabeth was not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was a true believer. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal savior and was added to the body of Christ at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Nolensville, Tennessee; she would later move her membership to Faith Church, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee under the leadership of Pastor Cora M. Alston.

Elizabeth was educated in the Public school of Williamson County and attended Nolensville Elementary School #2 and Natchez High School. She was employed and retired from the Metropolitan Davidson County Health Department Lentz Center. A devoted Mother and Grandmother she supported her children and grandchildren, always encouraging them to do their very best. She was blessed with a “Green Thumb” and a compassionate heart.

Affectionately known to her family as Lis-Neal and to friends as Lis; she was a shining example of what is written in Matthew 25:40 “Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Not only family members but friends and strangers can attest that in any situation that they found themselves in, that Lis was there. If she was not supporting in word than she would be supportive by deed. Many times those deeds was the delivery of delicious home cooked food. She was a giver that didn’t need to be asked and didn’t wait around for a Thank You.

She leaves to cherish her devoted children: Daughters, Clara Anderson, Chikeal(Leslie) Yarbro, and Monteia Mills; Son, Patrick Anderson; Sisters, Beverly Nevils, Brenda Anderson, and Sharon Williams; Brothers, Vernon (Wilma) Williams, and Randall Williams; Grandchildren, Tomias Anderson, Tysha Ridley, Tanashia Akins, Demetre Yarbro, Kadijah Bridgeforth, Jatoria Perkins, James and Janiya Mills, and Steven Clark Jr; Devoted Cousin, Patricia Williams- Battle; A host of nieces and nephews, family members and devoted friends, “Husband” Steven Bryant, Shelia Royster, James and Mary Perkins, Williamson McClain, Daisy Bond, Peggy Scruggs and family; God children, Tomasa, LaSanda and LaWanda.

“When our work here is done
And the life's crown is won
And our troubles and trials are o'er
All our sorrow will end
And our voices will blend
With the loved ones who've gone on before.”
