Eva Marie Carney

Mrs. Eva Marie Carney was born February 3 ,1949 in Sumter, South Carolina. She transitioned this life on November 21, 2021, with her family by her side.


Eva Marie Carney received her education in Metro Nashville public schools and graduated from Haynes high school. She worked for the department of human services for the State of TN for many years until she retired.


Mrs. Eva, as she was affectionately called, was the director of many Nashville daycare centers. She was a member of Bordeaux community board and African street festival board. She loved making arts &crafts, doing puppet shows for kids, tutoring children, planting flowers, cooking for her family, and reading.


Eva Marie Carney professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was an active member of Temple Baptist Church, Nashville, TN


She is proceeded in death by her father: Johnny McDonald Sr, mother: Mary McDonald , brothers :Johnny Mc Donald Jr and Elbert McDonald. Extended daughter Rena Clemons. She leaves to cherish her memory her Husband : Mr. Alf Carney, sons :Alvin L Carney Sr. ( Sharonda) Christopher P Carney (Tabitha) her grandchildren :Allant’e Carney ,Alvin Carney Jr. ,Bironka Carney ,Aubryanna Carney ,Amari Carney, Aiden Carney ,Jennifer Carney Great grandsons :Calieb Carney, Bryson Williams extended children Dallas Carney ,Tracy Beard ,Stacey Tuell She also leaves brother in laws (Neal )Clara Carney,Jim Carney , sister-in-law (Sarah )Johnny Hathaway,(Nemmie )James Inman , (Daisy Rucker) ,(Jinnie Crockett ); friends Clara Jones and Rita Mercer and a host of other relatives and friends.
