Eva Delores Cotton

May 30, 1944 — November 23, 2020

Eva Delores Cotton was born May 30, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee to Thomas Madry and Ona Myers. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Monday, November 23, 2020.

At an early age she accepted Christ and remained a faithful servant until her passing. Eva attended Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years where she lead and served as a Willing Worker and also sang in the choir. In her later years she joined Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist where she continued to remain faithful in her roles in the Pastor’s Aide and Missionary Society.

Eva graduated from Pearl HS class of 1962. She joined in union with Henry Albert Cotton (Buddy) and was married for 56 years until his passing in 2018. She was employed for 34 years with US Tobacco. Upon her retirement Eva dedicated her time to caring for her family and enjoying the second chapter of her life. She had a love for life and family. She loved to travel, dance and play cards. She was in her happy place when she was surrounded by her family, who she loved so much.

To know her, was to love her. She loved unconditionally, without judgement, and there was no limit for what she would do for those she loved. Eva your legacy of love will live on through your family and the generations to come. Rest now our sweet Angel.

Eva was preceded in death by husband, Henry Albert Cotton; parents, Ona Madry and Thomas Madry; sister, Dorothy Reed; brothers, Edward Madry, Thomas Madry Jr., Grady Madry and son, Henry Lamont Jones.
