Helen L. Wiseman

March 14, 1934 — August 14, 2016

Helen L. Wiseman, age 82 transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on August 14, 2016 at McKendree Village Health Care in Hermitage, TN.

Helen was born in Kingston Springs, TN to the union of Charlie H. and Florine Dunn. She attended Pearl High after moving to Nashville with her family as a teenager.

In 1954 she was married to Theodore Herbert Wiseman, Sr. To this union one son was born, Theodore H. (June Bug) Wiseman, Jr. Helen also raised her nephew, George H. Wiseman that she called her first son.
Helen embraced the Church of Christ in Bell Town, TN as a youngster. She received her faith and was baptized in 1978. She was a faithful member of the Ramsey Street Church of Christ until her health began to fell.

Helen loved children, she raised two additional children in her home, Corey D. Gooch and Jamela M. Wiseman. Her home become the hub for child care to family members and friends in the community.
Helens last employers was Richland Country Club, where she and her sisters worked together for a number of years. She was the third of five girls, Rosetta, Mary, Bobbie Lee, (decease) and Hattie the youngest. The sisters and other family members and friends had a girls club called “We are Family”.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore (Herbert) Wiseman, Sr; parents, Charlie H. and Florine Dunn; siblings, Rosetta Woodard, Bobbie (John) Robertson, Mary O. Wiseman, and Roy Lee Mack Dunn.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, Theodore (June Bug) Barbara Wiseman; grandchildren, Theodonte`“Truck” (Cheryl) and Ebony (Ellery); 3 great grandson & 1 great granddaughter; sister Hattie Long (Matthew); brother-in-law, George Wiseman (Rose); sister-in-law, Annie Wiseman (Frank); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends; devoted friends, Bernice Rucker and Anthony Anderson (Snookie) and loving caregiver, George Henry Wiseman.
