MR. HENRY REED, JR. was born on May 6, 1959 to the late Mr. Henry Reed, Sr. and Miss Mary D. McCloud. Mr. Reed peace- fully departed this life on Friday, July 20, 2018.

He received his education in the Metro Nashville Davidson County School System. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Ewing, uncle Roy Reed, and step son Lorenzo Johnson.

“JR.”-“FATDADDY” as he was so lovingly called was a hard and dedicated worker at Vanderbilt Hospital where he enjoyed working in the Dietary Department for over forty years, until his passing. He loved football, the Dallas Cowboys was-his favorite team, win or lose. “Jr.” loved to cook, and if he didn’t cook a food item that you liked or wanted at the time, he would make sure that HE prepared a di erent meal just TO keep everyone happy.

He loved his family and took great pride in making sure that his two daughters were well taken care of.

MR. HENRY REED, JR. leaves to cherish his loving and fond memories two daughters TyQuazsha and Denaja Reed, brother Troy Harris, grandson Dy’sean Roberts, three nephews Tony, Tracy, and William Ewing, step daughters Fenecia Smith and Tosha Colas, loving and devoted companion Kimberly Crutcher, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, and Retired Supervisor Dolores Grigsby and the Vanderbilt Dietary Department.
