John Braxton Woodley,II born on November 6,1963 was an only son of the late Eunice and John B. Woodley,Sr. John was educated in the New York City Public School systems. He then completed high school at Adlai E. Stevenson in 1981. John went on to attend the State University of New York at Sullivan County graduation with high honors with degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration. As a Computer Analyst, he obtained many certificates and became an “Expert”.
John was an outgoing, loving and kind man. Even in his passing, he has given unto others as an organ donor. He cherished and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Anyone and everyone loved John. John was baptized and was a member of St. Luke A. M.E. Church. He served on the Youth Usher Board and became the first president of the Altar Boys. John made lifelong friends wherever he went; which still includes church members, childhood friends and colleagues.
In 2002, John relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where he met Shermona Jordan. They were married on August 19, 2006. From this union they had two children and he gained two stepchildren. Continuing to work in spite of his increasing health challenges, John managed to remain a devoted husband, loving father and a man his parents would truly be proud of.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Shermona L. Woodley, children George Robinson of Boston, MA, Krystal Woodley of Manhattan, NY, She’marica Jordan and George Jordan, Jordan and Jewel Woodley of Nashville, TN. Sisters Florenda Miller(Carlos) of Queens, NY, Barbara Grice(Archie) of Atlanta, GA, Lynn and Stephanie(Arnell Benjamin) of Manhattan, NY. Siblings-in –Law Timothy, Fredrick and Takia Jordan, Mario Long(Amy). Host of nieces and nephews;Tarshene Greaves, Kawan Grice, Kyeme Miller, Sharaye Lockhart, Kya Woodley, Koree Woodley-Adjei, Khendyll Benjamin, Skylon Peete, LeAndre Jordan, Kailyn Jordan.
