Labrone Devord Williams

November 30, 1988 — March 16, 2016

LaBrone Devord Williams was baptized at Jackson St Church of Christ where he was an active member in his earlier years. He graduated from McGavock High School in 2007 and earned an associate degree in auto mechanics from the Nashville Auto Diesel College in 2009.

LaBrone was employed at Bridgestone/Firestone for 8 years. During his tenure he advanced his knowledge through numerous workshops within the organization which led to his position as lead technician at the store in Lebanon, TN. He was one of a few selected to receive advanced training in Denver, Colorado. His position required him to attend corporate meetings in which he was very proud of. He developed a passion for flipping cars, some he would keep or sell to others. LaBrone was an outstanding auto mechanic, who could rebuild engines in cars as well as motorcycles. Between the ages of 16 and 27 he owned approximately 27 cars.

LaBrone was a member of the “Straight Clownin” motorcycle club. He was known as “Boogie” and will be affectionately remembered for his contagious smile. LaBrone loved bike riding and would always tell his mother “I love the feel of the wind on my face”. He had many friends and was loved by all. He would help his friends when their bikes needed repair. They could always call on him. That was his character, always giving to others.

LaBrone enjoyed our family gatherings. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by father, Ernest Williams, Jr. and step-brother, Ernest Williams, III.

He leaves to cherish his memories a very devoted mother, Belle (Clara) Williams; son, Zane; step-brother, Mario Williams; devoted aunts, Christine (Hal) Weddle and Kathy Shannon, Nashville; Jean Carol Trice, Henderson, Tn.; Renita Williams, Jacksonville, Fl.; devoted uncle, Hayles Collier, Jr, Nashville; great aunt, Lou Helen Fulton, Henderson, Tn.; cousins, other relatives and friends. Special friend, Andrea Rodriguez.

To My Precious Son I cannot feel the truth of love when you’re not here with me I cannot hear the music that shrouds a symphony. The stars no longer twinkle in dark black skies above The emptiness inside me is cold and void of love. For it was me that gave you your very life that day I had no way of knowing you’d someday slip away. Rest well my son and thank you, you could have chose another But it was me, and I'm so blessed you chose me for your mother.
