She was educated at Kinston High School in Kinston, NC.
She married Mark Greene on December 12, 1937. After which she became a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening, outdoors and needlework.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and sons, Alton Geene, Cleo Greene and Lyndell Greene; daughters, Delores Caster and Linda Thompson.
She is survived by sons, Wilbert Greene, Winston (Marva) Greene and Mark Greene, Jr., Roosevelt Gooding; daughters, Gerald Evangeline (Larry) Martin and Bernice (Lewis) Johnson as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
