Mildred Elaine Whitworth

Mildred Elaine Whitworth was born on March 13, 1959 in Nashville, TN to the late William E.H. Rose Jr. and Eulis Jean Rose. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Michael Coble and brother- in- law Freddie Gipson.
She was raised in Nashville, TN where she attended Davidson County Metro Schools. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1977. She went on to obtain her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification at The NATS School, where she provided great love and care for the Nashville community. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at The Original Church of God. Elaine was a kind, loving, patient, and giving person. Elaine married Lemuel A. Whitworth on July 9,1979. From this union a daughter was born, Renea’ S. Whitworth in March 1981. She was always there anytime you needed a shoulder to lean/cry on or just an ear to listen. Never judging, but instead providing comfort and giving words of wisdom. Redd (the name given to her by her brother)was not a worldly traveler but did get the opportunity to visit and see the mountains in Gatlinburg, TN and also see the Atlantic Ocean and the sandy beaches of Panama City Beach, FL. She loved to spend time with her daughter and grandson every chance she got. She enjoyed all the times she spent with her sisters and all of her family. Redd became a social media hit in the beginning of this year 2022 being named Mama Redd. Her daughter would post stories and conversations she would have with Mama Redd on Facebook for all to enjoy as a way to spread a little love, joy, and laughter.
She is survived by her daughter Renea’ Whitworth and one grandson, Kegjhi Majors, both of Nashville, TN: siblings: Brenda (Wayne) Price, Charlotte Gipson, Carolyn Rose, Diane Rose, Teresa Rose, all of Nashville, TN, Angela (Patrick) Adams of Murfreesboro, TN, one sister in law Deborah Coble, of Nashville, TN; nieces, Lucretia Gipson, LaShelle Rose, Commanda Wright, Brooke Adams; nephews, Duane Coble, Marcus Gardner Jr, and Brady Adams, along with a host of many family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by many
