Mishaunda Nichole Tatum

June 9, 1979 — January 4, 2017

Absent from the body present with the Lord!
Mishaunda Nichole Tatum was born to Myra Tatum Hall and Michael Rucker on June 9th in the year of our lord 1979 in Nashville TN. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lucille Coleman Hudson.

Mishaunda received her education in Metro Nashville Public Schools, obtaining her high school diploma from the historic Pearl Cohn High School where she was a highly distinguished member of their marching band. Afterwards she attended Tennessee State University where she studied in the school of business and was employed at Edgehill Daycare Center and Trevecca Nazarene Nursing Home.

Mishaunda accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a dedicated member of the Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a spark in the Girl Scouts of the North Nashville District, president of Usher Board No. 3, and an unbelievable blessing to all of the church’s ministries. In sum, she was a tremendous benefit to the kingdom of God; she always smiled and served as a benefit to everyone else; even in her sickness she was a gift from God. Mishaunda loved her family, church family, pastor, and they loved her. Her life was a ray of brilliant sunshine, joy and inspiration; and for these reasons she will surely be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories; very loving daughter Miyah; son Samari; loving mother, Myra Tatum Hall; father, Michael Rucker (Sharon); loving stepfather, Lloyd Hall, devoted aunt, Kimberly Hudson; grandfather, Herman Hudson; uncles, Terris Tatum Morris, Andy and Cortez Rucker; aunts, Janella, Sheila, Bernita and Dot Rucker; brothers, Jermichael Posey and Malcolm Gibbs; sisters, Natasha Rucker, Jessica Posey, Jennifer Posey, Lynn Hambrick and Mylaysia Hambrick; great aunts, Glodine Hood, Essie Snead, Ann Smith, Frances Batts, Helen Jennings, Elois Outlaw, Nelly Hudson and Nelly Nabors; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends, Tamala Outlaw, Bethani Fuzz, Shayla Powell, Amanda Dye, Lendora Smith, Linda Gooch, Saizon Lockridge, Earnest Jackson, Weylin Costa and Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church Family.
