She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Jackson, her parents, Simon and Lottie Burks; and brothers Simon Burks Jr., Goldie Burks, Cedric Burks; and sister Sheila Cartwright.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted and caring son, Ronald Allen Burks and loving daughter, Kathy Denise Burks; grandchildren, Kendra Ravon Harris, Erika Danielle Burks, Leronte Marquez Burks, Lazarius Dwayne Burks, Alexius Ne’cole Luster, and Miracle Renee Burks; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Armistead (Catherine) Burks; sister, Carolyn Stanback; special friend, Laura Ransom, and a host of dearly loved relatives and friends.
