Reggie D. Grimes Jr

Reginald Derran Grimes, Jr., was affectionately called Mickel Mouse was born March 1, 1993 in Nashville, Tennessee to Schronda and Reginald Grimes, Sr. Reginald Jr., transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Tuesday, June 30, 2015

Reginald received his education in Davidson Country Metro Nashville Schools where he graduated from McGavock High School in 2011. Reginald went on to study Musical Engineering at Middle Tennessee State University followed by a fulfilling career as assistant manager at Jimmy John’s downtown Nashville.

Reginald enjoyed playing basketball but his most of all, exercising, weight lifting, and drinking his protein shakes was a passion.

He leaves to cherish his memories, mom and dad, Schronda and Reggie Grimes, Sr; brother, Caleb Grimes; grandmothers, Alycia Buford, Elouise (Thomas) Pryor; grandfather, Ron Elliott; aunts, Lisa Elliott, Temeka (Ernest) Dismukes; uncles, Little Ron Elliott, Zachary Grimes; great grandmothers, Dorothy Bean-Buford, Dolly Mae Grimes; a host of cousins, great aunts, and great uncles; numerous other relatives and friends.

Feel no guilt in laughter, He knows how much you care. Feel no sorrow in a smile. That he’s not here to share you cannot grieve forever. He would not want you to He’d hope that you would carry on, the way you always do. So talk about the good times and the ways you showed you cared, the days you spent together. All the happiness you shared. Let memories surround you. A word someone might say, will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, and a day that brings him back as clearly. As though he was still here. And fills you with the feelings that say he’s always near. For if you keep those moments you will never be apart. And they will live forever safely locked within your heart.
