Rosa Marie Smiley

March 1, 1929 — July 23, 2017

Rosa was the daughter of the late Riley and Annie Sandle. Born March 1, 1929. She was the second child of 8 Riley J., Carl Edwards, James Reuban, Gloria Lynn preceded her in death. She attended Bryan Public schools and graduated from E. A. Kemp High School. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas where she sang in the choir with the beautiful alto voice.

She moved to Nashville to be with her daughter and grandchildren in November 1999.
Rosa joined New Hope under the late Pastor James C. Turner, Sr., where she served on the Missionary Circle #2. She loved hearing her daughter beautiful soprano voice. One of her favorite songs was, Amazing Grace.

She leaves to cherish her memory a very devoted daughter, who she always called Ann; three devoted grandsons, Kevin (Esperanza), Craig (Charlaine) and Reggie; eight great grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Brisseis, Jayden, Brianna, Aliyah, Alyssa, Elijah and Jacob; two great grandchildren, D’Ariana and Serenity; three devoted brothers, Jesse Johnny (Barbara), and Leroy and a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
