Terrence Deon Reames

January 30, 1978 — January 30, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Terrence Deon Reames announce his sudden passing on Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at the age of 44. He was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by many.

Terrence, known by family and friends as Deon, was born January 30th, 1978, to Anthony Nesbitt and Carol Reames. He grew up in Nashville, Tennessee where he was baptized at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Percy Clark. He attended Hunters Lane High School and went on to attend culinary school, and while he was not able to finish, you sure couldn’t tell him that! He loved to cook. He loved his kids. He loved his mother and believe it or not, he loved a good ‘ol Western movie. Deon endured a lot in his short time on this earth, but was a Warrior, and always came back out on top with a smile on his face. He never met a stranger, would do anything for a laugh (and I do mean anything) and always enjoyed a good roasting session. Anyone that truly knew him, knew that he had a big heart and would give you anything even if it wasn’t his to give (with extra emphasis on the “even if it wasn’t his to give.”) He was always the light in the room, and we take comfort in knowing that Deon is now at peace and surrounded by God’s light.

He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Mattie E. Knight, Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nesbitt, Uncle Harold Nesbitt, Aunt Annette R. Harris, Great Aunt H. Louise Woods, and Cousin Dominique C. Knight.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted Wife Ashley Reames, Daughters Kierra, Atiyana, Dionne, and Terryn Reames, his only Son Giovanni Reames, Mother Carol Reames, Father Anthony Nesbitt, Sisters Charmaine Valentine and Crystal Nesbitt, Brothers Orlando Reames and Tony Nesbitt Jr, Aunts Darlene Reames, Diane Nesbitt and Linda Mitchell, Uncles Larry (Linda) Reames and Robert Nesbitt, Cousins Jasmine Kearse, Brittney Reames, and Harold Nesbitt Jr, Nieces Orlexus Reames and Jersey Nesbitt, Nephews Orlando Reames Jr, Keymarious and Jarvis Springfield and a host of cousins and friends. We will all miss him more than words can say.

Dedication –
My Love. My Husband. My Heartbeat. My Soul Mate. Where do I even begin. I have never known a pain as deep as this, but then again, I have also never known a love as deep as the love that we shared for one another, so it only makes sense that the pain of losing you runs just as deep. You would constantly tell me and anyone that would listen how I made you a better man, but the truth of the matter is, it was YOU that made me the better person in more ways than anyone could ever know. All that I am, and all that I ever will be, is because of you. I had a dream about you coming home the night before your birthday and it felt so real. I woke up and got right on the phone with you to tell you Happy Birthday and about my dream and we were so excited at the thought of you coming home. If only we knew that it was God’s home that you were going to and not our own. I love you Deon, in every way that a woman can love a man. With every part of me. My entire being. I thank you for showing me what true love is. A love that most people could only hope to experience. A love that is on a whole other level, a spiritual
