Terry Lamont Preston

Terry Lamont Preston, the son of the Thomas Goodner and Mary Jo Preston Goodner, was born on January 9, 1961 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. He departed this life at Williamson Medical Center, Franklin, Tennessee, on Friday, April 14, 2017.

Terry professed a hope in Christ at an early age where he was baptized. He later moved his membership to New Generation Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop James W. Russell.

Terry was educated in the Davidson County School system.

Terry worked as a cook for many years at Rotier’s Restaurant and several other restaurants throughout his years on earth. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with his family and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Goodner; mother, Mary Jo Preston Goodner; grandmothers, Mary Rainey Jones and Pauline Preston; grandfather, Jodie Preston; great grandparents, M. B. Green and Will Preston; brother, Eddie Preston; aunts, Linda Johnson and Beverly Brown; uncle, James Jones and niece, RaKale Walker.

He leaves to cherish his memories, loving daughters, Quiana (Scott) and Kenya Quinn; granddaughter, Taraka Bailey; three devoted sisters, SaSandra (Steve) Fitzgerald, Convonnia (James) Russell of Eagleville, TN and Rochelle (Carnell) Goodner; uncles, Leonard (Amy) Jones and Jimmy (Rocena) Johnson of Columbia, TN; aunts, Bettye Almanjo and Louise Trice of Richton Park, IL; nephews, Kevin (Jamica) Preston, Corey Preston, Adrian Preston, Lamont Preston, Jarrin Preston and Juanta Goodner; nieces, Yolonda (Lamont) Rucker, Sandra Preston, Yashica Preston, Kenyatta Preston, Kieisha Preston, Nika Preston and Takoiya Goodner; devoted friends, Wiley “Beno” Hatcher, Michael Cain and Junior Walker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
