Timothy Harold Goins

October 17, 1979 — July 11, 2020

Timothy Harold Goins was born October 17, 1979 in Nashville, TN to Harold D. Goins and Dianne Mason Goins. He gained his wings on July 11, 2020.

Tim as he was often called confessed the Lord as his personal savior at a young age and was baptized at First Baptist Missionary Church of Goodlettsville where he used his voice to minister in song.

Tim was educated in the Metro Nashville Public School system and was a proud graduate of Stratford High School, Class of 1999. It was at Stratford where he really began to hone his singing skills in the Show and Gospel Choir. He could be found later lending his voice while singing with Youth United Community Choir and The Pearls of Joy.

Growing up you could find Tim pestering his siblings or trying to grill a live dog (yes, the dog lived and was still loyal to him). He was always into something.

Tim had a loving and caring spirit and would go out of his way for the ones he loved. If you needed a shoulder to cry on his was the shoulder. If you needed a ride, he was that ride. If you needed a song to be sung, he was there. If you needed someone to watch your child, Uncle Timmy was there.

Tim had a smile and laugh that could brighten any room. He could always find a way to make you smile, be it by cracking a joke, doing a silly dance or by making a sarcastic remark.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Dianne Mason Goins and sister, Shannon Renee Goins.

He leaves to cherish very special memories his father, Harold Goins; step-mother, Linda; sister, Latoya (Corey) Jackson; nephews, William Deandre, Harold Deantae, and Corey Jr; nieces, Alaina Dianne and Azia Denae; great nieces and nephews, D’Kiyah, Jaleyah, Da’Kari, and Bry’lynn; best friends, LaShonda Evans and Courtney Garrison and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
