Velecia Nichole Covington

Velecia Nichole Covington was proceeded in death by her grandmothers: Johnnie Mae Baker- Sanders and Henrietta J Floyd, and Father Vincent Leon Baker.


Velecia Nichole Covington was a compassionate devoted loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, Auntie, Niece, Cousin, and Friend. Velecia attended school in the Davidson County school system. She earned her Bachelor of Science with concentration in Health Care Administration at Middle Tennessee State University. She worked for HCA Healthcare for over 10 years. She loved taking care of her home and gardening.


Velecia leaves behind 3 precious children that she loved unconditionally: Jamaul Covington, Kira Covington and Jaylen Covington.


Velecia leaves to mourn devoted mother, Lamandia Jones; Siblings: Darrell Covington, Leon (Brittany) Covington; grandfather; James (Ann) Covington; Grandmother Alice Covington; a host of nieces and nephews who were the pride and joy of her life; Bianca, Da’Juan, Ke’Darrius, Dallas, Amia, and Zi’Lynn; Stepmother: Deborah Sparkman; a host of aunties, great aunts, uncles, great uncles, and cousins from the Covington and Baker family. Devoted friends: Charra McClain and Shawnte Boleyjack.
