Charles S. Norman was born April 26, 1950 to Jessie Mai Martin and the late Joseph Norman, Sr. in Nashville, Tennessee. Charles made his peaceful journey from this world to a place of eternal rest on Monday March 28, 2016.

Charles attended Metropolitan Nashville Davidson County Public School.

Charles accepted Christ in May of 1977 and united with St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.

Charles was a lover of all sports. His favorite past time was gambling. He always helped others providing whatever they were in need of. His smile was a ray of sunshine and he never met a stranger. His thoughtful service, unconditional love and big heart will be forever remembered and missed.

Those remaining to cherish his memories, his mother, Jessie Mai Martin; daughter, Beretta Merritt Duckett: sister, Alice Elliott; devoted sister, Wanda Simpson; brothers, Thomas Russell, John (Shirley) Norman, Booker Martin and devoted brother, Frank (Latanna) Norman; aunt, Annie C. Russell; uncles, William (Annie) Russell, James (Stella) Russell; granddaughter, Tiffany Merritt; grandson, Ricarldo Duckett; great grandson, Isaiah Merritt; devoted cousins, Cheryl Russell, Juanita Duff, Carolyn Dailey; devoted friends, Bertha Phillips and Peggy Lucas.

Although he is gone, his joyful heart and effervescent personality remains in our memory and will continue to sustain us. He touched so many lives, was greatly loved and will be fondly remembered by a host of other family and friends.
