Nashville, TN - Hattie Mai Batey, a beloved member of the community, passed away on October 16, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born on June 19, 1932, in Nashville, TN. Known for her unwavering faith and love for her family, Hattie touched the lives of many during her time here on Earth.

Hattie's dedication to her church was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a pillar of strength and a motherly figure to those who needed guidance and support. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her own four children; she embraced and cared for everyone who crossed her path. Hattie's commitment to serving others left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

Deeply devoted to her faith, Hattie was involved in various church activities and served as a role model for many. Her selflessness knew no bounds as she consistently put others' needs before her own. Hattie's unconditional love created an environment where everyone felt welcomed and accepted.

In addition to being a devoted mother in her church community, Hattie leaves behind four cherished children whom she loved dearly. She provided them with love, guidance, and endless support throughout their lives. Hattie's wisdom and compassion will continue to shape their lives as they honor her memory.

Friends and family are invited to attend the services honoring Hattie's life. The visitation will take place at Highland Hills Funeral Home & Crematory (2422 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN 37207) on October 22, 2023. The visitation will begin at 2:30 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM.

A viewing will be held on October 23, 2023, also at Ephesian Primitive Baptist Church  . The viewing will commence at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM.

Following the viewing, a funeral service will be conducted to celebrate Hattie's life. It will take place at Ephesian Primitive Baptist Church on October 23, 2023, starting at 12:00 PM and concluding at 1:00 PM.
