Master Johnathan Leemontae Burns

September 22, 2016 — May 8, 2020

Master Johnathan (our miracle child) Leemontae Burns was born on September 22, 2016 to Andrea Taylor and Johnny Burns. He suddenly transitioned from this earthly life to heavenly life on Friday, May 8, 2020. He is preceded in death by great grandparents Leonard (Ester) Williams, John (Helen) Buggs, Wilma Burns and James Oglesby Sr. Grandmother Gwendolyn Burns, Grandfather Richard Buggs.

Johnathan attended 15th Avenue Early Learning Center, 18th Avenue Family Enrichment Center and Kenwood Elementary School. Johnathan loved playing with his friends and gave high fives and fist bumps and hugs to everyone.
Johnathan was a true miracle seeing that the doctors said he would not live at birth, but God had other plans for him, Despite, three heart surgeries, Johnathan defied every odd against him. He was a fighter.

Johnathan loved his mom and took care of her as the man of the “man” of the house. Johnathan touched lives with his big eyes and smile that melted hearts. But Johnathan was also strong-willed and if he did not want to do something, he let you know “No, I don’t want to”. He crossed his arms and he meant it. He enjoyed playing with all his superheroes, especially Spiderman and Black panther. He loved being outdoors, playing in dirt and sand.

Johnathan is survived by his mother, Andrea Taylor; father, Johnny Burns; grandparents, Millie (Josie) Burney; siblings, Brandi Thomas, Brandon Patton, Allarion Oglesby, Amarrion Oglesby and Sedrecia Broady; aunts, Nicole Buggs, Latoyia (Chris) Mackey, Tequila (Jameel) Colvin, Meeyoka Jones; seven uncles, Terrance Buggs, Jamison, Jeffrey, Jason, Jacques, Joel and Jazrail Burns; Godmother, Linda Driver; Godfather, Thomas Perkins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
