Kham Phasavat, age 73, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024.
Kham will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his work at Nomzilla and his love for the outdoors, especially when he spent time cleaning his beloved cars. He cherished moments shared with his grandchildren, finding joy in their presence. Among his favorite pastimes was sitting on his porch engaging in conversations with friends and family.
In 1988, Kham ventured to America and settled in Nebraska before moving to Florida in 1989, where he met his former wife. Their union led them to Tennessee in 1990, where they welcomed their first child, Diana, in 1995. Despite parting ways in 2006, Kham took on the admirable responsibility of single-handedly raising all four of their children when he relocated to Sacramento, CA. In 2014, Diana returned to Tennessee and later blessed Kham with his first grandchild in 2016. Driven by a desire to be close to family, he made the decision to return to Tennessee in 2017.
Retiring that same year didn't stop Kham from continuing to contribute through part-time work at Nomzilla as a valued member of the restaurant team.
Survived by his children Diana Kammaneephan (28), Justin Phasavat (26), Lina Saengpheth (22); son-in-law Ricky Kammaneephan and daughter-in-law Jenny Kammaneephan; grandchildren Kaleb Kammaneephan (8), Kaliyana Phasavat (3), Bentley Phasavat (2), and Ellie Kammaneephan (2); along with a cherished friend and partner Ny Heung since 2017.
Kham's presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
