Malinda leaves behind two cherished souls, Jonathan Bennett and Zina L. Grant. She has two surviving siblings, Virginia Lucille (Charles) Johnson Jones, Daisy Geraldine (Richard) Johnson Moore.
Her grandchildren are: Monica (Tyrone) Braden Porter of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Yolanda (Scott) Braden Osborne, Courtney Braden, Rev. Markeith Braden, Angela (Sonny) Dabney Gant of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Temia (Dammeion) Bennett Beamon, Jarrod Michael (Jenna) Braden, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved twin sister, Malissa L. Johnson; sons Benjamin E. Braden, Sr., Ronald E. Braden; and grandson, Benjamin E. Braden, Jr.; siblings: Willie Myrtle (Oscar) Johnson Taylor, William Dudley (Hattie) Johnson, Mattie Estella (Harry) Johnson Mason, Maxie Claudeen (Billie) Johnson Bryant, Claude Ervin (Francis) Johnson, Joseph Edmond (Glory) Johnson, Mary Caroline (Alfred) Johnson Mason, Elene (George) Johnson French, Alene (Horace) Johnson Snead, Maurice Johnson, Marshall Frank Johnson, Sarah Josephine (Robert) Johnson Williamson.
