Norel D. Williams-Perry

June 13, 1936 — July 1, 2024

Nashville

Mother Norel D. Williams-Perry was born June 13, 1936, in Nashville Tennessee to the late Porter Wharton and Ora Williams. She departed this life on July 1, 2024. Mother Perry was educated in the Nashville Public School System.

She was united in holy matrimony to Robert E. Perry. She was blessed with six children. Mother Perry united with New Freedom M. B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Corey Osborne where she served faithfully for over twenty years. She worked diligently on the mother’s board with the upmost efficiency and dependability.

Her unwavering faith, boundless love, and dedicated service to her congregation have left an indelible mark on her church family. Mother Perry worked with Metro Public school System as a teacher’s assistant and retired from there. She cherished quality time with her children, and grandchildren.

She was one of the greatest ‘show of love’ on earth! She was part of the 1953 class of the mighty Pearl High School Tigers. As a young girl she liked to roller skate, dance, cook, play music and all the other fun things young girls loved. Mother Perry enjoyed cooking.

She always made sure there was plenty of food for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. She never hesitated to whip up something for her church functions whether it would be green beans or her famous Japanese fruit pie.

Mother Perry will now grace the heavens with those who preceded her in death; parents, Porter Wharton and Ora Williams; devoted husband, Robert E. Perry; one sister, Betty R. Williams; one son, Eddie A. Williams; one granddaughter, Destiny Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sons; Sidney(Yemiserach)Williams, Courtney (Jacqueline) Williams, Donovan Perry; two daughters; Wauneen Williams and Jane A. Perry; grandchildren; Kito and Destiny Williams, La’Kesha Northern, Cortney Sweatt, Corey and Sidney Williams, Dominique and Treondice Nesbitt, Dontaria Summers, Rikki Boyd. 13 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.

Mother Perry was a ‘Prepared’ believer for a ‘Prepared’ place. Our beloved mother is not leaving Home, she is going ‘Home’. She believed the words of Jesus in John 14:3 “and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, ye may be also
