Richard Undrea Rogers

February 25, 1976 — August 11, 2022

Richard Undrea Rogers, born February 25, 1976, in Los Angeles, CA to Richard and Juanita Heard Rogers to a family of three, one Sister, Andrea H. Young and one Brothers, Clarence Marcellus Rogers.

The family moved back to Tennessee when he was a toddler. He accepted Christ at an early age at Holy Trinity Baptist Church. He earned his education in the Metro School System graduating from Stratford High School in 1994 where he also played football. He attended Martin Methodist for further education. On October 11, 2003, he married Destinee Brabson. They had no children, but their home was always filled with the joy, laughter and fun with nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was known by family as Undrea but being a big and tall man, his friends all referred to him as “Big Rich” He loved his family and friends. His cousin Jonathan and him were always close but he had many inseparable friends including his “Baby Brother, Marcellus” along with others including Larry, Anthony, Roderick, Kareem, and Nathan. There are others but “Big Rich” met no strangers. If you were his friend, that would be forever.

At a youthful age Richard joined a youth mentoring program called Positive Theory Awareness Program (PTAP). They went out into the community, rapping and inspiring at-risk youth. He also had a passion for cooking and catering. It was NOTHING he could not prepare. He loved watching movies, the ID Channel, Cooking Network and Sports. He had a passion for fashion, He was the SHARPEST of the SHARP and the “FLYEST” of the FLY.

Richard loved his family very much. He made sure his Dad was always good. Even when he was living in Atlanta, GA for a time he always called and checked on him. He, his Sister, and Brother had a bond so close they were known as the “three amigos”. They watched over one another daily. They prayed together and loved together.
