Willie Mai Wilkins, age 60 transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
In the midst of daily strife and joys, death crept through life’s door and took Willie Mai Wilkins’ hand, and led her to a peaceful land. Ms. Willie Mae Wilkins was born in Nashville, TN to the late William Sr. and Mary Wilkins. In addition to her parents, her brothers Tommy and William Wilkins Jr. and Howard Lee Dunn, sister, Ara Elizabeth Wilkins Terrell, nephew Benjamin Wilkins Jr., and niece Christie Laschaun Woodard, preceded her in death.
Willie Mai attended Metro Nashville Public Schools. She professed a faith in Christ at an early age at 40th Avenue Church of Christ, she later moved her membership to Eastside Church of Christ then to Ramsey Street Church of Christ, and lastly to Northside Church of Christ.
Willie Mai worked for many years at St. Thomas Hospital. She was employed at Metro Nashville School at Smithson Craighead Academy. She enjoyed sitting on the front porch, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and caring for her furry babies (her cats and dogs).
She leaves to cherish her memories and continue her legacy:

Nephews: Jamie Dunn Sr., Keith Dunn, Dylan Woodard, Edward (Tarsha) Wilkins, Gregory Wilkins, Andre Wilkins, Carlos Wilkins. Nieces: Rev. Toi King, Margie (Kendall) Winston, Jacqueline (Danny) Blair, and Euneka Pannell, Donquisha Howse, Shameka Howse
Great nephews: Christopher (Jordan) Pitts Sr., Jamie Dunn Jr., and many other great nephews.
Great nieces: Laurisha Gooch, Ensley Wilkins, and many other great nieces.
Great- Great Nephews: Brayden Gooch and Christopher Pitts Jr.
Great- Great Niece: Amani Gooch
Devoted Extended Family: Mary Dunn and Family, Hickman Family, Robinson Family, Shivers Family, Howard Family, Dallas Owens and Family, Cole-Woodard Family, and Pannell Family.
